Review on The Elephant Man

Personally i enjoyed The Elephant Man although it was very mourning to see how John Merrick's life was in the beginning. The symbolism in this movie was genius and unique to put into the movie. This movie did a great job depicting the life of John Merrick. Although the beginning of the movie is a bit odd, if well understood it shows how great of a scene that is. The introduction of this movie portrays on how the industrial revolution raped earth and it's natural beauty so the result from that was a beautiful man. Although, he wasn't beautiful on the outside, he contained a wonderful personality that touched everyone. It was a well thought out movie that contained a lot of symbolism. Not only was it symbolism but David Lynch also included the sounds of machines which gave it a real feeling for that time period it was set in. The sound of machines also showed how instead of hearing birds chirping we heard machines so this portrayed on how the world being raped by machines.
